Benefits of Scholarship
PHEC will support students with money for 36 months like this:
- For subjects like Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities, Business & Management Sciences, etc., you’ll get Rs. 50,000 every month (including everything).
- If you’re studying Sciences & Technology, PHEC will give you Rs. 100,000 each month (including everything).
So, for 3 years, students in different subjects will receive different amounts every month.
Eligibility criteria for the PUNJAB HEC INDIGENOUS PHD SCHOLARSHIP
To qualify for this scholarship, you Must need to:
- Live in any district of Punjab.
- Hold an MS/MPhil degree from a foreign/local university without any third division or grade D in your academic history.
- If applying for a Ph.D. scholarship, ensure a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0 in the semester system), 3.75 (out of 5), or first division (in the yearly system) in your MS/MPhil/Equivalent degree.
- If employed, get a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and study leave approval from your parent department. You must be no older than 40 years (45 for females) on the closing date.
- The scholarship lasts for three years, during which you cannot work outside academia.
- Within 9 months of receiving the scholarship letter, you must enroll in any public or private university in Punjab.
- If you’re in the Science and Technology category, provide a financial support letter from the industry showing at least Rs. 10,000 in monthly financial assistance.
Not eligible are:
a) Candidates already receiving another HEC/Government PhD scholarship.
b) Candidates currently pursuing a Ph.D
