  • Confirmation Messages: Upon verification by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and Punjab Land Record Authority. Farmers will receive confirmation messages confirming the issuance of gunny bags.
  • Gunny Bag Distribution: Gunny bags will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Starting from April 19, 2024, facilitating wheat storage and transportation.
  • Wheat Procurement Commencement: The procurement process will officially commence on April 22, 2024, with all necessary arrangements already in place at the district level.
  • Transparency in pricing is ensured as farmers will be sold wheat at a fixed price of Rs 3900 per 40 kg, with an additional Rs 30 per 100 kg as delivery charges.
  • Eligibility Criteria: Farmers with a minimum of 6 acres of land are eligible for Bardana (gunny bags), prioritizing small-scale farmers’ interests and access to resources.
