New Passport Fees in Pakistan 2024: The Government of Pakistan has recently announced a hike in fees for expedited passport services, starting from May 8th. As per the latest notification, the fee for a 36-page Machine Readable (MR) passport, valid for five years, will now be Rs. 12,500. Likewise, the cost for a 72-page passport with a similar validity period has been raised to Rs. 18,500, while for a 100-page passport, it will now stand at Rs. 23,000. Furthermore, adjustments have been made to the fees for 36, 72, and 100-page Machine Readable (MR) passports valid for 10 years, aligning them with the new fee structure.

The federal government of Pakistan announced substantial hikes in passport fees for the fast-track category, following reports of a backlog in passport processing. Effective from May 8th, these fee increases apply to both 5-year and 10-year passports. According to a notification issued by the Directorate General of Immigration & Passports. The fee for a 36-page Machine Readable (MR) passport, valid for five years, has been raised to Rs. 12,500. Similarly, the fees for 72-page and 100-page passports, valid for 5 and 10 years respectively, have also been revised.
