Earlier this week, a troubling incident occurred as the Computer Science paper for Class 9 was leaked on social media platforms on the very day of the exam. Despite efforts to address the issue, a spokesperson for the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) expressed uncertainty regarding the authenticity of the circulating paper. Alongside the paper leak, exam centers witnessed disorganized arrangements, leading to overcrowding of students. The lack of adequate furniture resulted in students being compelled to sit on the ground during examinations.
In response to these malpractices, Sindh Boards and Universities urged the BSEK chairman to take decisive action. Despite media coverage highlighting the cheating menace, some students managed to bring mobile phones into exam halls. Education authorities emphasized the enforcement of Section 144 around all exam centers but expressed frustration over the government’s failure to implement it effectively.

Papers for the science group were scheduled for the morning shift, while those for the general group were slated for the second shift. This year, the board office issued online admit cards, specifying examination centers.
